Kamp amersfoort

about

With everything that is going on in the world today, it is tremendously important that places like National Monument Kamp Amersfoort exist. A place of reflection, remembrance, and education. That we may never forget what happened. They preserve the stories of more than 47.000 people who were imprisoned during WO II.

Together with ftrprf, we created the new website of Kamp Amersfoort. Lara Hemels (Creative Strategist at ftrprf) was the designer. The goal was to realize a seamless online experience that reflects the unique character of the national monument and museum.

Solution

The process of running the project went smoothly as it was operated in many steps to get to the finished project and desired results. We started by conducting interviews with the teams to get a better understanding of the preferences, what should stay, and what information was no longer relevant. We then redefined the website structure, Lara designed a beautiful website to connect the offline with the online experience and then started developing the website.

We managed to reach a very ambitious timeline for the project.

The clear lines of communication and set expectations for the deliverables helped throughout, also considering the good communication we had with the ftrprf and Kamp Amersfoort teams.
